FLEETHAM, AZULA JUNE

March 7, 2014 Leave A Condolence

In Memorial

89, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on March 4, 2014.  Family surrounded Azula June Fleetham, in her Phoenix home, as she peacefully walked the path to be with her sweetheart, Durwood, the morning of March 4, 2014.  Born in Lansing, MI on June 21, 1924.  She was married to Durwood F. Fleetham in Sunfield, MI on December 20. 1941.  In 1948, she and Durwood left Sunfield, MI and the family farm to set up residence in eastern Washington then moved to Phoenix in 1959.  She spent countless hours at Creighton United Methodist Church helping in whatever way she could.  She volunteered at the UMOM Justa Center for years.  She loved golf and bowling but most of all she loved and cared for her family.  Azula (mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, friend) her strength has always been in her love for others, truly the sweetest, bravest, loving person we have ever known.  She is survived by daughter Carol, sons Ralph and Jeff, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of friends.  Visitation will be at 12 noon on Monday, March 10, Creighton United Methodist Church, 4900 E. Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018 (602) 840-1080, with services at 1 p.m. She will be put to rest at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren St., Phoenix (602) 254-8491 immediately following services.  In lieu of flowers please send donations, in her name, to Hospice of the Valley FUnd Development 1510 E. I would like to express my condolence at this time to your family. The Bible is a great source of encouragement at times like this, a comforting thought is at Revelation 21:3,4 where it states “…And he will wipe out every year from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning not outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” This scripture gives us hope for the future! For more information please visit our website at jw.org
