Flora Oropeza, 72, of Tempe, AZ passed away on January 22, 2009. She was born in Tolleson, AZ on January 17, 1937. She was married to her loving husband Raymond for 51 years, together they raised three daughters. She enjoyed traveling and shopping, she never met a sale that she didn’t like. She also enjoyed gardening, especially at their cabin in Forest Lakes where she could get any kind of flower to grow. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Traslavina and Ruth Valenzuela, brothers Robert and Frank Traslavina. She is survived by her husband Raymond, daughters; Cynthia McCauley, Carrie Tom Gonzales and Rosanne Oropeza, Grandchildren: Bryan, Paul, Tommy, Michael, Anthony, Carrie Ann, Megan and Daniel, great-grandchildren; Breanna and Adonia, Brothers; Ray and Tony Traslavina, Sister Anita Gonzales. Services will be held on Saturday, January 31st at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 E. Libra Drive, Tempe, AZ. Visitation from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Rosary at 10:00 a.m. and a Mass of celebration at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix, AZ.
