
Jack Parker Frew, beloved father, husband, friend, and educator passed away from natural causes November 25th, at the age of 95. Jack was born in Harrison, Arkansas but came to Arizona at the age of 5 wanting to be a “real cowboy”. He lived in Clarkdale, Glendale, and then settled in Phoenix. Jack attended Arizona State University where he majored in Physical Education and played football for the Sun Devils. He went on to teach Physical Education at Stevenson School and then Principle of Ann Ott School. He was an inspirational leader and the recipient of many awards for his devotion to teaching. In addition to his teaching schedule, Jack was the Supervisor of the City of Phoenix pools for 30 years. He was an avid golfer, and hunter and loved camping and fishing. He was married for 65 years to Marguerite Harshey of Chandler. Their family includes two daughters Susan Frew and Jackie Sullivan, granddaughters Andrea Guzman-Stewart, Amy Frew, and Meghan Schaper. Memorial Service will be held December 19, 2009 at 1:00 pm, Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road, Phoenix.

Jack was one of those rare human beings that lifted anyone around him to a higher level of thinking on how to live life and leave the world a better place. He will be greatly missed but all those who knew him are better because of his love for learning, life, family and friends.
