
of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010. Anna Mae was born on December 20, 1917, in Kankakee, Illinois, to Ambrose and Agnes Grandpre. She grew up in Bourbonnais, Illinois, during the Great Depression and graduated from Notre Dame Academy High School. In 1939, she married Leonard Frieling of Kankakee and lived there until 1954 when they moved to San Bernardino, California. Anna Mae worked as an Office Manager for Fedco, Inc. for 25 years. In 1981, Anna Mae and Leonard retired and moved to Hemet, California, where they lived until 1944, when they moved to Arizona. Anna Mae was a fun loving, people person who could always make people laugh even to her final moments of life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Leonard H. Frieling. She is survived by two children, Jerry Frieling of Scottsdale and Bonnie James of O’Fallon, IL; five grandchildren, Kelly Minton of Simi Valley, CA, Jessica Frieling of Scottsdale, Tom James of O’Fallon, IL, Christopher James of Bogota, NJ, and Andrew Frieling of Scottsdale; six great grandchildren, Brittany, Alyssa, and Cameron Minton, and Madeline, Tommy, and Matthew James; and daughter-in-law Jamella Frieling. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am with a Rosary at 9:30 am, Saturday, January 30, 2010, at St. Mary’s Basilica, 231 N. 3rd Street, Phx., AZ. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
