I am very sorry to read about Jack’s passing. In 1997 I happened to be on spring break and stayed with a friend in Phoenix. I was messing around and looked in the phone book for anyone named “Gassensmith.” Not thinking I would find any, I found one! I called and Jack answered and talked with me for quite awhile. We talked about family and how we were related. He was very kind and I enjoyed talking with him. I wish I knew this side of my family better, but after talking with him it was nice to know I had found a relative, another member of the Gassensmith family! My prayers are with you and your family. God bless.
