Delores Giuntoli obit and folder

DELORES MAE GIUNTOLI, 82, of Sun City, AZ passed away on September 22, 2022.
Dee was born in Fond du Lac, WI on February 10, 1940 to Lester & Mabel Kunaschk. Married in June 1960 in Fond du Lac, WI and moved to AZ in 1960. They were blessed with a daughter, Diana Lynn March 17, 1962.

Dee worked many years at Valley National Bank through all the transitions (now known as Chase Bank) and retired from Human Resources. After retirement, she started “Dreams Do Come True” as a wedding planner. Dee’s passion for singing continued from Fond du Lac to AZ and she sang and competed with the Scottsdale Chapter of the Sweet Adelines and “The Sun Lasses” Quartette. She loved cruising in her Bright Yellow 1937 Ford Sedan with the Remember When Cruise Association, Over The Hill Gang and Vintage Vehicles of Sun City. She met Ken cruising Central Ave 33 years ago and have shared many adventures since then.

Dee is survived by the love of her life, Ken Schaaf, daughter Diana, grandchildren: Jon & Teresa, Danielle & Tyler, Laura & Mike, Josh & Samm, Lindsey & Marvin as well as 11 great grandchildren: Alexa, Raymond Jr, Aleena, Mariah, Annabelle, Miah, Deanah, Josh Jr, Brantley, Laylah, and Millie Jo. Additionally survived by Ken’s children Kathy, Kenny & Laura, Kim & John, and grandchildren: Gina & Jason, Jamie & Chuck, Lacie, Brandon &Teresa, Tiffany & Ren, and Ian as well as 11 great grandchildren: Emma, Aidan, McKenzi, Jordan, Maddox, Logan, Tatum, Eli, Brightin, Zoey, and Carson. Dee was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Mabel Kunaschk, Sisters Loretta Schultz and Genevieve Immel, and son-in-law, Gordon Macmaster.
We will miss her sweet, fun, and loving personality, along with her good humor, feisty spirit, and those twinkling eyes. She always had a song in her heart and now sings in Heaven.

Dee was a joy to work with at Valley National Bank and we became great friends. She was the ultimate professional and I missed her when she retired. We kept in touch and had some great catch up sessions dining, chatting and hugs. My dear friend Dee, you will be truly missed. I love you! God bless you! My condolences to Diana, Ken and family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Our hearts are heavy with you all. Aunt Dee taught me so many things and I’m so grateful to have been a part of her life and for her in mine. She made me a better woman. ❤️ She became a second mom to me when we moved to AZ from Wisconsin. She sure loved cars and singing. And there was never a get together she held that didn’t have more food than any family could eat. To this day, I do the same thing along with a note pad with exactly what and when to serve things. ☺️ We love you sweet auntie and we will see you again one day. ❤️

I was so saddened to hear of Dee’s passing. We were co-workers at VNB and buddies for over 40 years. She is a special lady and so much fun to be with. I valued our time together and was blessed to have had her in my life.
