GRAM, GEORGE J.
George J. Gram, age 87 of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on Tuesday night, March 27, 2018 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Dementia.
George was an accomplished electrical engineer, college teacher, pilot and flight instructor. He served in the US Navy from 1951-1955. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University in 1959. He was the recipient of the GE Inventor’s Award for electrical engineering and Outstanding Educator Award from the Electric League of Arizona. He trained nearly 100 pilots and over one thousand electrical engineering students.
He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine. George is survived by his daughter Lorraine (John) Jackson; son Stephen (Julie) Gram; sister Florence Crowder; brother James (Dolly) Gram; sister Irene Gram and loved by many nieces and nephews.

George was a loving father. He touched many lives and is remembered for his sweet disposition. We will always carry George’s memory in our hearts. Special thanks to the staff at Huger Mercy Living Center for their kind and loving care.

Steve, sorry to heat your father passed away. I didn’t know George that well, he was always kind and a very pleasant person. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.
George sounds like an amazing man and obviously passed on many of his talents to his son, Steve, whom we admire and adore. May God bless the Gram family with love, peace and comfort as they say goodbye to George. Keep his memory alive with stories and laughter.
