On Thursday, December 3rd, 2020, Cora Genieveve Cooley-Greyeyes, our loving mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 89.
Cora was born on September 23, 1931 in Cibecue, Arizona, to Vera (Dehose) and Bert Cooley. She had one sister Daisy and three brothers Danny, Purcell, and Charles. She worked as a dedicated sterilization Technician for the Phoenix Indian Medical Center for over 20 years.
Cora is preceded in death by her father Bert, her mother Vera and her daughter Marilynn Greyeyes. She is survived by her husband David Greyeyes, daughter Sandra Greyeyes, son’s Fredrick and Steve Greyeyes, grandchildren Cherilynn Tsosie, Jenny Phillips, Steven Jr. Greyeyes, Ashley Tsosie and Shannon Greyeyes, and great-grandchildren Jaiden Hewey, Hakaan Hewey, Shaylee Jim, Talayla Jim, Alysse Phillips and Davian Jim; with many cousins, nieces & nephews. Cora was blessed to have known her relatives and will be missed.
A Memorial service will take place Monday, December 21, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Whitney and Murphy Funeral Home: 4800 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Burial service is to be attended by immediate family members only due to covid19 restrictions. Burial will take place at the Lower Cibecue Cemetery.
