27, of Phoenix, AZ died on February 27, 2016. Eric was the son of Marianne Gouveia (Greg Eckerman) and Robert Francis Gruler (Kathy). Eric is survived by his mother, father, brothers Robby and Joey, sister Mia, stepmother Kathy, stepfather Greg stepsisters Erin, Alexis, Amy Gibbons and Stephanie Block. Eric was a gentle and kind soul with a heart of gold, he had a warm smile and an open heart. He was a loving son and brother and he held a deep and abiding love for his family and friends. Eric loved the outdoors and he loved adventure. He studied at ASU in the field of landscape architecture. Eric will be greatly missed by all of us. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Sunday, March 6, 2016 followed by a memorial from 6-7 PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 E. Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley. A lunch reception will follow the Mass.
