Charlie A. Guerrero

Charlie A. Guerrero was born January 2, 1954 in Morenci Arizona.

Charlie was a very devoted son, brother, and uncle.

What brought him the most joy was his preaching and teaching in elementary school. His interests were drawing caricatures of people, reading, music, story-telling, Bible history, Bible study, family gatherings and watching and attending college sporting events. He loved to talk to people and to make others laugh.

He was raised in Morenci and graduated in 1973.

He left Morenci to attend Eastern Arizona College in nearby Thatcher and transferred to Grand Canyon College in Phoenix where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Theology and minored in Elementary Education.

He also attended Golden Gate Theological Seminary in Mill Valley California near San Francisco where he studied theology for a couple years.

Eventually returning to Arizona, he settled in Phoenix . He went back to the University of Phoenix to get his bachelors in Elementary Education.

He worked as an elementary school teacher and in various ministries for most of his life.

He is survived by his sister Rosalie Coca (Fred), brother Danny Guerrero (Denise), nieces Leslie Udave and Kathy Alvarado (Gabriel), great-nephews Andrew and Noah, and great-niece Elia. Our love will always be with him.

Memorial Services will be held February 12, 2022, 1pm at the Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home in Phoenix, 4800 Indian School Road, 85018.
