Isabel Valles Guerrero

82, of Phoenix, passed away on February 6, 2012. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Godmother and beloved friend to many. Isabel was born on November 19, 1929 in Virden, New Mexico. There she was raised prior to moving to Safford, Arizona for her elementary years and later to the Phoenix area when she was a young teen. She was introduced by her brother Henry to her husband Charles Guerrero, of Morenci, Arizona to who she married in September 1949 and was married to for 61 years. All her life she enjoyed watching movies. In her younger years, she devoted her life to raising her family in Morenci where she lived and worked as a homemaker and mother of 3 and grandmother of 2. She moved to Phoenix in the 80’s where she enjoyed spending time with family on birthdays and holidays, and watching sports especially the Phoenix Suns, the AZ Cardinals, as well as college sports, and in her sunset years babysitting her great-grandson. Isabel is survived by children: Charlie, Danny (Denise), and Rosalie (Fred). Grandchildren: Leslie (Gabriel) and Kathy (Gabriel). Great-grandchildren: Noah, Andrew, and Elia. Visitation will be from 11am-12 pm, Saturday, February 11, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road. Graveside Service will be at 1pm, Saturday, February 11, at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street.
