HAGAR, EVELYN K. (MCNALLY)

90, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2011. She is survived by daughters Patricia Welch, Joyce Betz (Charles), Kathi Fees, Joan Juwig, Eileen McNally, Mary McNally, and Maureen Hainlen (Jon); sons Michael McNally, Daniel McNally, and Brian McNally; 22 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband of 39 years Bonnie “Jack” Hagar, parents Mary & Joseph Kozlowsky, sister Virginia Zajac, brother Henry Kozlowsky, son Gerald McNally, grandson Steven Welch, and first husband Frances McNally. Evelyn moved to Phoenix in 1950 from Hartford, Connecticut. She was employed by Medical Society Directory, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and in 1965 joined the staff of DES Family Assistance as an Eligibility Specialist. She retired as a Supervisor in 1980. Soon after, she and husband Jack opened their own business, “A Balloon A-Faire,” specializing in balloon decorating and balloon bouquets. For 11 years, she and Jack brought joy to so many customers, singing “little ditties” to people on birthdays, anniversaries, and retirement. Contributions may be made to Ryan House, 110 W. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 12th at 9:00 AM with Funeral Services following at 10:00 AM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix.
