Micaela Hain Obit and pc

Micaela Conley Hain passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 79, on the evening of March 30, 2018. She was born to the late Vincent de Paul Conley and Edna Broderick on July 17, 1938, the oldest of ten siblings. Micaela is often described as a tall, selfless and strong woman, fitting her well as she played an instrumental role in raising her siblings and raising her own five children. Micaela retired from Arizona Public Service after 25 years to her home in Phoenix where she enjoyed reading, solving her daily crossword puzzles, watching Lifetime movies and volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul. Micaela is also frequently described as a lively woman who enjoyed having a good time. She enjoyed dressing up in her clown costume for APS events, traveling with her siblings, playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and occasionally having a couple of beers with her friends and family. Micaela also was a devout Catholic and enjoyed attending Mass regularly. Micaela is preceded in death by her three brothers Vincent de Paul Conley (Willena), Thomas Conley (Lupe), and Timothy Conley (Robin). She is survived by her siblings Brigid Ragland (Hank), Sheila Whitfield, Elizabeth Conley (William Siska), Daniel Conley (Renate), Mary Kathleen Conley, and Mark Conley (Susie); her children, David Hain (Kathy), Brigid Jensen (Tony), Michael Hain, Allison Hansen, and Christopher Hain; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and a large extended family. Visitation will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Thursday, April 5th from 6:00-8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell, Friday, April 6th at 10:30 A.M. Following Mass, a reception will be held at Micaela’s home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Micaela’s honor to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.

Dearest Micaela, You will be missed by so many. I know God has raised you up to heaven. I enjoyed working with you for 20 years at APS. Your intellect and sense of humor were an inspiration to me. I enjoyed the many laughs we had together. In the picture I missed the pencil in your hair which seemed always present.

I thank God for Micaela’s life.

    God’s blessing to her family
