HAMMAN, MARILYN POVETZ TELL
Marilyn Povetz Tell Hamman was born March 3rd, 1935 in Akron, OH to Andrew P. and Mary J. Tell. She was called home to her Lord and Savior on October 27th, 2012 in the comfort of her home and surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by 3 sisters, Esther P. Rhodes, Betty P. Hirshberg, Lydia P. Lewis, and ; her oldest son, John (Linda), their children, Lily (Kenneth), Luke, Justin, Jacob and Marilyn’s great-grandchildren, Ryan, Connor, and Emily; her second oldest son, Randy (Christie), their children, Joe (Lauren), Scott (Grace) and Kate; her third son Del (Grace), his children, Ashley and Andrew; her youngest son, Tom (Cheryl) and their children, Tarah, Jordan, and Zachary; dear friend Ron Pasowicz; as well as her beloved canine companion, Ginger. In her 77 years, Marilyn touched countless lives, all through the strength and grace of Jesus Christ. She was a committed and faithful Christian who not only spread the love of Jesus in Arizona, but also in her second home of Cardiff-By-The-Sea, California. Throughout her life, Marilyn was always singing the praises of Jesus, and was deeply involved in numerous Christian charities. Marilyn was a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, friend, philanthropist, and above all, a daughter in Christ. She was a shining star of hope, guidance, and proof that, through Christ, all good things in life are possible. Visitation will be Friday evening, November 2nd at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85018 from 5pm – 8pm. Memorial services will be Saturday, November 3rd at Bethany Bible Church, 6060 N. 7th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85013 at 11 am. I know there is joy in her homegoing, but I also know there is sadness in her loss. It was a privilrdge for me to know her, and the family has my deapest sympathy.
Just think, absent from the body, present with the Lord! What joy for Marilyn, but what sorrow for her loved ones here on earth. Sending love and prayers for the Lord to comfort you as only He is able.
