HAYS, KAREN D.

June 3, 2016 3 Condolences

HAYS,

Karen D. Hays was born in Phoenix, Arizona on February 11, 1967.  She died May 13, 2016 in Bremerton, Washington at Lions Park. That night, a magnificent sunset shone on the shore where her light left this world. Karen is survived by her life partner of 20 years, Patrick “Mike” Griffith, who described Karen as the, “Perfect Woman, Best Friend & Mother.”  She is survived by her mother, Mary Hays, son, Dillon Borium, brother Kevin Hays, niece Victoria Hays, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.  She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Hays.  Karen was a mother, daughter, wife, aunt, niece, cousin, and a friend.  She taught us to never leave a job unfinished and that anything worth fighting for is worth all our effort.  Her spirit will live on through those who loved her and through those whose lives she changed.  While we morn the loss of such a beautiful soul, we know that Karen loved, was loved in return, and improved the lives of countless people through her acts of kindness. That is more than anyone could ever hope for in this world.  Services will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home at 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ  85018 at 7:00 PM, June 9, 2016.
