In Memorial

Janet Herding, 74, Paradise Valley, AZ, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died Friday, January 15, 2016, in Paradise Valley, AZ.  Janet Rae Brodigan was born June 10, 1941, in Breckenridge, MN to Raymond and Nellie (Harvey) Brodigan. After graduating from Breckenridge High School, she attended Robinsons Beauty School. Janet married Paul Herding, April 4, 1961, in Wahpeton, North Dakota.   They made their home in Moorhead, MN where they raised their four sons. Janet worked in the school district food service until moving to Phoenix in 1994. There she occupied her spare time in a career at Target from which she retired in 2003. With family spread across the country, Paul and Janet enjoyed long distance visits. She was recognized for her involvement in the church and enjoyed teaching her grandchildren a card game or two. Janet will be joining her husband, Paul, in the Kingdom of God. She is survived by her four sons, Jeffery, Phoenix, AZ, Bradley (Cindy), Watertown, SD, Mark (Keri) Phoenix, AZ, Patrick (Casady), Dalian, China; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. In lieu of flowers family requests donations to ALS Society of Arizona, 360 E. Coronado Road #140, Phoenix, AZ 85004.
