HERNANDEZ, ANNIE SALAS

May 13, 2011 Leave A Condolence

HERNANDEZ,

A mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, cousin and friend to all, spread her wings on May 9, 2011. Annie left her footprints on many a heart while dancing here on earth and is now dancing with the angels. Annie was born on July 26, 1930 in Morenci, AZ. Annie devoted her life to her family, friends and the Catholic Church. Annie’s extraordinary talents of photography and crafts leaves behind countless meories for all of us to share. She is now in heaven with her father Placido Salas, mother Ascension Salas, sister Petra durazo and brother Simon Salas. She leaves behind her husband of 63 years Alfred Guerra Hernandez, sisters Sally Lee and Celeste Castillo, brother Billy Salas, her children Gilbert (Terry) Hernandez, Yolanda (Esteban) Morales, Alfredo Hernandez III – Rach (Mindy), Anna Marie Cota – DeeDee (Joe Angel), Mark (Ruby) Hernandez, Caroline (Jesus) Cano, and Gabriel (Lisa) Hernandez, 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends at McDowell Senior Center and the St. Agnes Roman Cathlic Parish and community. Annie was our energizer bunny and everyone’s friend and dancing partner. We will miss our “Momma” and “Nana”. Thank you to Helen’s Assisted Living and Americare Hospice for the loving care of our mother. Annie’s celebration of life will be held at St. Agnes Parish Church located at 1954 N. 24th Street, Phoenix. AZ\ with the Visitation from 5-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm, Monday, May 16 and the Funeral Mass at 10am, Tuesday, May 17. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
