HERNANDEZ, JENNIFER C

of Glendale, AZ passed away on February 27, 2013 at the age of 59.  She was born on June 22, 1953 in Kanab, Utah and moved to Arizona as an infant with her parents Max and Mella Duran.  Jennifer was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend.  Jennifer is preceded in death by her father Max Duran.  She is survived by her husband of almost 40 years Richard Hernandez, her daughter Kristine Hernandez-Cohen (Craig Cohen), her son Richard Hernandez, Jr. (Nicole Bateluna-Hernandez), and 5 beloved grandchildren, Malia Hernandez, Sydney Cohen, Kalei’o Hernandez, Kalani Hernandez and Natalie Cohen.  She is also survived by her mother Mella Duran, sister Michelle Kirby and brothers Ted and Alex Duran.  Jennifer was a vibrant loving person who gave freely of herself to others and cherished her family.  She loved spending time and playing with her 5 beautiful grandchildren and enjoyed collecting Pepsi memorabilia.  She is a former St. Mary’s Knights Booster Club Treasurer and enjoyed attending St. Mary’s athletic events.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  Visitation will be held Monday, March 4 at 10:00am with a Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 3424 N. 18^th Avenue, Phoenix.   Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
