Son of Elena Cruz and Wilfred Hernandez passed on from this life on August 15th 2011. He spent 30 years as a baker and was a Shop Steward for the Bakers Union (BCT). He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lucila Hernandez, 2 sons, Manuel, Jr., (Elizabeth) and Daniel, 3 daughters, Isabel (Ruben) Arvizu, Felicia (Cloid) Adams and Rosa (Ronald) Miranda. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9-10am, with a Funeral Mass at 10am, Monday, August 22nd at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 6401 S. Central Avenue, Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
