Margaret “Peggy” Hernandez, 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Born to Ray and Petra Hernandez on January 28, 1951, in Phoenix, AZ. Peggy attended Wilson Elementary School and graduated from East High School. Peggy was a child at heart. She was loving, carefree and had a great sense of humor. She loved cats, enjoyed coloring, and loved watching movies.
She is survived by her two loving brothers Ray (Irene) and Richard (Jennifer deceased 2013), 8 nieces and nephews, and 14 great nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Lura Turner Homes for taking such good care of Peggy for so many years. She loved all of them as her own family. We will always be grateful for the loving care she received.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank Sage House for the care they provided Peggy during the past 2 years. We are so very grateful.
A visitation will be held from 8:00-9:00 am on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, May 2, 2022, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 3424 N. 18th Ave, Phoenix. Entombment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in the Mausoleum.
