HILDEBRANDT, MARTIN PETER “MARTY”

August 12, 2020 10 Condolences

Marty Hildebrandt Photo

Martin Peter Hildebrandt “Marty” passed away in the early morning of Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in the peace of his home surrounded by the love of his wife and daughters. Originally from Omaha, NE, Marty has been in Arizona for the majority of his adult life. With his wife Sarah, Marty has raised two daughters and been an integral part of the family business, Clyde Hardware.

For those that knew Marty, his zeal and passion for life were undeniable; he worked tirelessly and flawlessly, played without regard for risk, and held his family and those he loved like family deep in his heart. No matter the circumstance, he took on every day with a project and a purpose; never were they left unfinished and always executed to perfection.

Marty is survived by his wife Sarah, daughters Traci (and husband Joe Chandler) and Kara (and husband Jeffery Jordan), granddaughters (Maggie and Betsy), brothers (Bob and Hank), sister (Deann), countless family and friends that meant the world to Marty, and the Saturday breakfast club. He joins his parents (Otis and Lois) in heaven, where he and Otis will continue to build mansions as Lois watches with the Cornhuskers game in the background.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., at Bethany Bible Church, 6060 N 7th Avenue, Phoenix. All are welcome as the service will be held in the main sanctuary in order to observe social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Marty’s name to either St. Vincent De Paul Phoenix or Hospice of the Valley. Dear Sarah, Traci, and Kara,

I am deeply saddened by Marty’s passing into GLORY. Perhaps we share the comfort of knowing Marty is out of pain here, yet more alive now than any of us who are still earth-bound. My deepest sympathies for the HUGE loss of the most wonderful, practical theologian, boss, father, brother and friend I have ever known. There are no words to convey my gratitude for the ways Marty touched and influenced by life. My prayers continue daily for you all.

    Dear Sarah,

I have many warm memories of working with Marty.

Usually, by the time he & I were involved, it was already a crisis.

His desire to satisfy the customer and his great attitude made it easy to jointly solve whatever was the issue.

    He was a good man.

    Dear Sarah and Family,
What a great Man, my friend, your loved one. So sorry for your loss, and then, much more blessed by the gain of knowing that Man and what everyone received and was given by him. Marty, with his style, integrity and untethered compassion, there is no question he helped us all! Thank you for sharing your Great Man Marty. I would like to think we will all be united again when we meet our maker, and for our loved ones that are gone the time away from us travels in years like seconds. So, it is us that must carry the burden of time until we see them once again.
Good by for now to a Great Friend,
