Albert Howard, 78, of Phoenix, passed away June 7, 2015. He was born on March 10, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York to Albert Hazel and Catherine Hansen. He was later adopted by Louis Howard and Margaret Barrios. He attended St. Mary’s High School and afterward joined the United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rachel Howard, sons; Billy and Jimmy, daughter; Cynthia Webb, grandchildren; Frankie Deanda, Crystal Sanchez, Lisa Deanda, Anthony Osorio, Billy Howard, Jr., Andrew Howard, Albert Howard, Vanessa Ivansko, Shaunti’ Howard, Daniel Howard, Santiago Howard and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Frankie Webb. Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2015 from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 A.M. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 909 E. Washington Street, Phoenix. Interment after Mass at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
