March 23, 2012 2 Condolences

HOWELL,

68, of Phoenix, AZ, went to be with Jesus on March 16, 2012. He was a native of Chicago Heights, Illinois and moved permanently to the valley in 1988. Rich was the Phoenix Suns Equipment Manager from 1988-2006. He sadly left his position with the Suns after suffering a stroke. Rich loved life, loved people, and always tried to find the positive side of a situation. He was known for never voicing a negative opinion of anyone. Rich was an avid golfer, loved to fish, and an RV enthusiast who traveled across the country. At this stage of life spending 6 months of the year in Show Low, AZ. He was an animal lover, especially dogs, and enjoyed his present dogs Birdie and Bogie but kept his departed dog, Scooter, close to his heart. Rich is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Rosemary K. (Colangelo), sisters Barbara Hall Bruti and Shirley M. Cellini along with 43 loving nieces and nephews and numerous faithful friends. He was the proud brother-in-law of Jerry Colangelo. He has now returned home to join his father, John O., mother Irene, sister Diane L. Quattrocchi, brothers Jack O. and Robert W. A celebration of his life will be held on April 7, 2012 at 1:30 PM at Mountain View Lutheran Church, 11002 South 48th Street (48th & Elliot), Phoenix, AZ officiated by Rev. Glenn Zorb. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014 or to Mountain View Lutheran Church.

    Dear Aunt Rosemary,I dont even know how to say how sorry I am for not even coming or calling when Uncle Richard past,My dad would have been very disapointed,i saw how sad uncle Richard was when dad past.I should have been there.Love You!
