January 27, 2023 3 Condolences

Ralph Terrell Jackson

Ralph Terrell (Bo) Jackson passed away on January 23rd. Affectionately know as “The Original Bo Jackson” he was born in Rock Hill, SC on August 5th 1931. The youngest of 4 boys, he was also a naval veteran who served during the Korean War as well as on the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier in 1954. While stationed in AZ he met and married Mary Lynne Feeney of Phoenix in 1955. Together they raised 7 children and were blessed with 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He loved golf and ran his own golf club business. Upon meeting St. Peter at the pearly gates his only question would be; “Where’s the golf shop?”

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Church on Thursday, February 2nd at 10:30am. Interment will take place at St. Francis Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the AZ Alzheimer’s Association at https://www.alz.org/dsw

Bo was such a warm and funny man. He was a very kind and generous person who shared his wealth of knowledge about golf, even to us “duffers”. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. He’ll be missed.

We will fondly remember meeting Papa Bo, happy and smiling, at Kyle and Elyse’s house long ago! I’m so glad our paths crossed. We are sending love to your family as you say goodbye to him this week. With love, the Moore family
