Jacquelyn Yvonne Maddux, 56, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009 in Mesa, AZ. A resident of Phoenix, she passed shortly 9 months after being diagnosed with cancer. Jacque was born in Bisbee, AZ. on August 4, 1952 and grew up in Douglas, AZ. She moved to Tucson after high school, where she worked for the State of AZ. At the age of 38, Jacque moved to Phoenix with her daughter and she worked for the Department of Commerce and ADOA. Jacque was a phenomenal woman to all the people she surrounded herself with. She helped everyone she graced with her presence. Her family and friends would say Jacque was truly one of a kind. We all, as well as the world, will miss this beautiful and precious woman. Loved by so many and mourned deeply. She was a great Mother, the best grandmother, aunt, sister and most wonderful and humbled Friend. Survived by only daughter, Neville Y. Maddux Soto, 28, and Grandchildren Gabriel 10, Jazlynn 6, Jonathan 2, and Maryjayne, 9 mos., brother Thomas Maddux, 59, from Albuquerque, NM, and the son she never had Mauro M. Saenz, 30, along with significant other, Wallace Maddox and many friends, including best friend since childhood-to this very day, Julia Patten. Memorial Service will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 at 2:00 pm, 1954 N. 24th Street, Phoenix, AZ. She will be missed deeply and remembered greatly.
