James Lee Kirkman of Petoskey, MI, formerly of Scottsdale, passed away 12/14/08. Jim was born in Owosso, MI graduated from Michigan State University, and married his love, Joan Larson. He served in the U.S. Navy and upon discharge entered his life’s work; financial advising. Jim had a successful career in the brokerage business and carried his enthusiasm to MSU where he taught economics. His life revolved around his faith, family, and church. In his retirement, he took his tremendous energy to the mission field. His greatest work involved his mission trips to Russia and later to Biloxi, MS. This deep love for the Lord is the legacy he leaves. Jim and Joan have three children: Kelli Michael Healey, Christie Peter Roe, and James Jr. Jennifer and eight grandchildren; he is also survived by his sister Suzanne Seward. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00am, Monday, December 22nd, at Christ Church Lutheran, 3901 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.
