John Richard Kelly, D.D.S., 79, of Phoenix, AZ passed away Tuesday, November 7th, 2007 at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital from complications of cancer. He was born in Bisbee, Arizona on October 26, 1928 to Benjamin and Beatrice Kelly. John is survived by his wife, Cynthia, his children, Brian Donna, Steve, Tim and Sara Dave, his sister Edie and her husband Shelton Marlow, his grandchildren, Nathan, Benjamin, Leah, Laura, Nolan, Noelle and Jon-Luc and his nieces and nephews, Shawn, Linda and Kelly. John will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, serviceman, provider and friend. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1952 where he was a Sigma Chi and quarterback of the football team. He went on to dental school at Loyola University in Chicago where he met the love of his life and future wife of over 50 years, Cynthia. He practiced dentistry in both Phoenix and Payson, Arizona for over 50 years and was loved for his gentle nature and chair side humor. He consistently gave generously of his time as a volunteer with Civitan and St. Joseph Hospital. John loved spending his leisure time at the family cabin near Payson, fishing with his boys, watching any sporting event, carving wood figurines, making jewelry and traveling. John
