JOHNSON,

Helen Patricia Johnson, 80, passed away on May 23rd, 2012. Pat was born in Fresno, California, the only daughter of Byron and Irene Deshler. Pat’s father was a Methodist pastor and Pat spent her childhood living in Arizona and Southern California. Pat met Chuck (Charles Lindberg Johnson) of Sparta, Wisconsin, her husband of 60 years, at a church social when Chuck was en route to Korea as a U.S. Marine. Pat is survived by her devoted and loving husband Chuck; five children – Philip (Daranna), Susan Campbell (John), Steven (Renee), Kevin (Nora), Melanie Darnell (Scott); eight grandchildren; three brothers – David (Beverly), Jim (Lupe) and Tom (Lynn); and one cousin – Doug White (Elaine). Pat was preceded in death by her parents and a young daughter, Mary. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 31st at Creighton United Methodist Church, 4900 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix. A luncheon reception will be served. In lieu of flowers, donations to the following charitable organizations are suggested: The American Syringomyelia and Chiari Alliance Project, Hospice of the Valley or Global Hope Network–Jesus Film Project.

    So sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. She was a sweetie to talk to at our functions up here in Payson. I know you all will miss her a great deal.
