Nolan, Joseph Patrick, 83 of Phoenix, AZ. Born in Minneapolis, MN, passed away on March 1, 2009. Joe was a car dealer in Minneapolis. In l972, Joe and his wife Midge moved the family to Arizona where he started a restaurant equipment and leasing business. He served in the Pacific during WWII. He spent his summers in Alexandria, MN where he loved boating and playing golf. He liked practical jokes and had a great sense of Humor that will be missed. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Midge and his son Gregory. He is survived by his children; Mary Pat Bryce Peterson , Bill Nolan, Joe Nolan, Jr., Dan Rita Nolan, Meg Bill Matetich, Colleen Nolan and Paul Ann Nolan, grandchildren; Emily Brian Van Blaricon, Brett Mandy Peterson, Sarah Peterson, Erin George Arroyo, T.J. Sibert, Elisa Nolan, Paige Matetich, Eamonn Nolan, Mathew Sibert, Ryan Nolan, Kayla Sibert, Patrick Matetich, Joseph Nolan III, Thomas Nolan, great grandchildren; Cameron, Brady, Chase and companion, Suzanne Brown. Visitation 9:00-10:00 am, Thursday, March 5, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Minnesota. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Catholic Charities, 1825 W. Northern Avenue, Phoenix, 85021.
