Kathleen L. Romley began her eternal life on April 6, 2008, when her loving heart could no longer overcome her illnesses. Born in San Diego 67 years ago, she spent most of her life in Arizona, where she graduated from Camelback High School and the University of Arizona. While in college, Kathy met her husband, Arthur, who survives her and already greatly misses her. Kathy and Arthur have three children, of whom they are most proud: Phillip, Jenni Jewett Brian and John Allison. Kathy absolutely “glowed” in the presence of her grandchildren. Mike, Phil’s son, lives in West Virginia. Great-grandson Ethan and step-grandson Justin also live there. Jenni and Brian’s children are Ellie and two-week-old Jack. Kathy was very excited for John and Allison to start their family. Kathy enjoyed times with her loyal friends, and was intensely interested in many things, especially vacationing in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, tennis, ice hockey, working with children at day care, her exacting craft work, and her canine companions. There are few with Kathy’s wonderful heart and spirit, and it took a great burden last Sunday morning to silence them. Kathy’s inner beauty is mirrored in her photograph above. With full credit to Harry: We’re sad to say Kathy is on her way. We won’t see her for many a day. Our hearts are down. But we refuse to frown. Her spirit will guide us along God’s highway.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Arizona Humane Society, 1521 West Dobbins Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85041.
