I didn’t know Laura very long. I met her at her mothers place and saw her there several times. A group of us also went to plays, concerts and dance events together. It was always nice to see her and be able to do things together. There may have been times that I may have missed some parts of these events (some might suggest that I fell asleep), but Laura always watched, listened and enjoyed the entire performances.
I do know that her mother and family loved her very much. Her mother was very proud of her.
It is never easy to know what to say at times like this. No one really knows what another feels or is going through. I can’t say I really understand what her death means to all of you that knew and loved her, but I want to express my deepest condolences. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you all the best that is possible at this time.
Laura will be missed.

To Laura’s family,
My deepest sympathy for your loss.
Laura, if you can hear me, I will always remember the time we went skiing with Glen and you popped up out of a snowbank and all we could see was your head, with two big eyes, a mass of freckles, your winning smile and a great big glob of sunscreen hanging off your nose.
May you rest in peace, babe.
