was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 13, 1940.
Her parents, Kenneth G. Wood and Patricia J. Wood, moved to the McDowell Manor area in Central Phoenix in 1951. BJ graduated from North High School in 1958. BJ was involved in the trucking industry for most of her adult life, retiring in 2008. Betty Jean went back home to the Lord on December 22, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. BJ is survived by her loving sister Jacque, and niece Kathy (Art), her great nephews Steven (Alex), Michael, Artie (Amber), and great niece Stephanie (Matt), and her beloved cat Charlotte. There are three great great nephews, Carson, Cooper, and Mason, one great great niece Reese, with the second on the way Sienna. BJ will be missed, remembered, and loved by all of those whose lives she touched. And those that never met her… will be touched by those of us that did. Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 30th 10:30am at Saint Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 North 24th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008.
