Fred Krause was born May 13, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. Fred spent the majority of his years in Chicago, Illinois working as a Roll Form designer and machine tool maker. Fred was a proud member of the United States Navy and served as a weather forecaster on San Clemente Island California during the Vietnam War. Fred was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1966. Fred was an avid flier and over the years was able to acquire and own a Piper Saratoga II Airplane. He was an excellent pilot, instrument rated with over 5000 hours of flight time. He enjoyed travel and leisure and traveled around the entire US and enjoyed a number of cruises in the Caribbean. He was quick to make friends and liked by many. I found an old 8×10 picture of my grandparent’s, Walter and Mabel Bruens. On the back was written “near Sedona, Arizona from Fred Krause 11-13-1964. Also written “Wagon Wheel at Eherenberg Cemetery.” Also written “Fred Klause Parker AZ Box 831. The old home- exhibition afternoon 120 fi…..” I can’t make out the last word. Is this a piece of history for you and your family? When I read the obituary, I realized they had met in Chicago, ILL.
