LAREZ, JOE “JT” TERRANCE F.
In the early morning hours of December 20th, 2021, our beloved Joe “JT” Terrence F Larez passed away at the young age of 41. The world has lost an amazing son, brother, nephew, uncle, and great friend to all. JT was born on December 7th, 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona to his father Oscar Larez and his mother’s Karen Shue and Maryann Sevilla.
JT loved all things Star Wars, Disney, Batman, Superman, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Anime like Dragonball Z, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, playing video games, watching movies and his favorite television shows, cooking, and of course shopping with his best friend whenever he had chance.
We take great comfort in knowing that JT was so loved, the condolences we have received have been a reflection of the great man we all know and love. JT had such an amazing work ethic and his work family was just as important to him as his home family. JT worked at Walmart for over 18 years and has met so many people who he clearly left an impact on – he will be greatly missed by many. Anytime we didn’t know where he was, we knew he had to be at work, taking care of his people.
JT loved and left behind Oscar Larez, Maryann Sevilla, Karen & Jim Hall, Keith Smith, GraceKelly Larez, Tillie & Alex Larez-Koenig, KJ & Tiffany Smith, Kristin Smith, Jason Smith, Steven Jaramillo, Theodore Sevilla II, Mason & Cameron Smith, Prestin & Shai Hemesath, Autumn & Cole French, Christian Navarrete, Theodore Sevilla III, Charlie & Lisa Torres, Eddie Torres, Tina Garcia, Jennifer Heady, Felicity Heady, Autumn Heady, Savannah Heady, Yolanda Gonzalez, and so many more names that it’s difficult to mention everyone that he truly loved. Please feel free to leave a message for him and his family.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 8th, 2022 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home on 4800 E. Indian School Road. We will continue a celebration of his life at his mother’s home located 10 minutes away from the funeral home immediately after the viewing.
Joe was a dear friend and he will be miss greatly. He was a kind of gentle soul that would go out of his way and anyone needed anything he wouldn’t hesitate. He was loving and had a great personality. I loved him like family and my life was immensely impacted but in a good way
A bright light has gone out of our lives with the loss of JT. His beautiful spirit and kind heart are greatly missed. He was a shining example of how we should all try to be better human beings. He showed us every day what goodness looks like We are all worse off without him.
To my lil brother the only brother I ever had in my life , I met JT when he was a young around 5or6 I’m 10 years older and we didn’t have much in common when he was little but the older he got we had a lot of the same interest Star Wars was a big deal for both of us and we liked the Az Diamondback baseball team, I will never forget you my brother loved you ever since we were brought together as brothers my you RIP love Theodore Sevilla II
In life there are few things you can really count on.
JT was one of those things.
We could always count on JT to show up, and to be wearing his bright smile. We could always count on him doing what was expected , and to face every day with a positive attitude and never complain about anything no matter what the circumstances might be. JT always had a big heart and a kind demeanor, we were blessed to have known him all of his years as he grew from a boy into a young man. His sense of humor, kindness, caring and warm personality will be missed by us.
May God’s warmth and comforting hand hold JT, and all of his loved ones and family. God’s peace JT.
Chris & Cheryl
