On August 4th, 2013 we lost “Our Gran Senora”, Gloria V. Larriva. She passed away peacefully at the age of 91 very content with life. She was born on November 15th, 1921 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a devoted daughter to her parents Carlos & Lenore Olea who preceded her in death. She was happily married to Joe P. Larriva who also preceded her in death. Left to cherish her unending love and memories are her children Leo (Betty) Solomon, Bob (Lisa) Solomon, Linda Ann and Bob McClearn, her step-children (The Larriva Family), 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 11 great, great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00am with a Rosary at 10:00am on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix. Our family would like to express a very special thanks to the VA Nursing Home, their staff, nurses and aides and Hospice of the Valley for the wonderful care our loved one Gloria received during her stay there.
