Elizabeth Josephine Laughlin, 76, of Phoenix died October 29, 2011. Betty was born in Kewanee, IL January 23, 1935. She moved to Phoenix in 1943 with her family. Betty graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Betty and Jerry met at Anderson Clayton and married in April 1954. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Jerry, and her sister, Patricia Wietholter. Betty is survived by her brother, Roy Calhoun (Barbara), daughters Laurie Laughlin and Jennifer Kokalis, sons Matthew (Laura) and Jerry Miles, Jr. (Susan), and grandchildren Katie, Matthew, Peter, Brian, Layne, Hannah, Molly, Jeremy and Grace, as well as nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Friday, November 4, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
