It was my PRIVILEGE to be Linda’s friend for 66 1/2 years from 2nd grade on. She was a friend in the truest sense of the word. No matter how long we didnt speak or see each other, we always were able to take up just where we left off. In the last 14 months or so I was again given the privilege of sitting at her side for hours each week. We laughed, talked and laughed some more and yes we cried too. I will miss my visits so much.
Farewell my friend, you have earned your high place in Heaven. Keep my seat warm for me.
Love you,
Sharon

Dear Lavin Fanily: I am Lettie O’Connell Raab. Linda and I went to school together from second grade until our graduation from high school. She always was a loving, supportive, funny friend…I can think of few good memories at St. Simon and St, Mary’s that don’t include include Linda. Though I became a military wife and didn’t live in Phoenix, I still kept up with Linda at reunions and through friends. When we would see each other or speak on the phone, all those years dropped away…it was like talking over a coke at Bob’s Big Boy after a football game on a Friday night. I will miss her and you all will have my family’s prayers. God bless you all. Lettie

My most sincere condolences to the family of the Lovely Linda Lavin. As high school friends as St. Mary’s I can clearly understand her love of faith, family, friends, and football. Gracious and loving and always positive – that was Linda, truly a Lady Knight!

How do you describe a woman like Linda? Caring, giving, sharing, faith filled but most of all Loving. My family and I are honored to call her FRIEND.
3 generations of families, not related but together in heart. An amazing thing. Linda and I graduated from St Mary’s together and followed each other in watching St Mary’s games, Bourgade and PC games. Watching our children grow and become friends, then our grand daughters going to SS Simon and Jude together. I clearly remember the day our grand daughter called me and said “My new best friend, Jessica’s Grammie is your friend Linda.” Pat coached our son at PC and Linda and I could talk through the whole game and still not be finished. It was that way every time we got together. We laughed, cried and discussed family situations. We had some very memorable outings especially the travel trailer accident! But most of all I will remember a woman with a true fighting spirit, not complaining but tackling each and every situation to the best of her ability.
The world will be changed with Linda in heaven. Her family will be at a loss but the she gave her family the greatest gift a mother could…love for each of them and their father, Pat. And Pat, Linda could not have had a better husband.
It has been an honor to part of your family over the years. God Bless You All. Jim and Cindy Musselman
