
Betty Lesselyong passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. She was born on March 18, 1914. Betty had 98 wonderful, healthy years, and two months, not so much. Betty was born in Ironwood, Michigan, attended Lawrence College in Appleton, Wisconsin where she studied music and became a lifelong lover of the Opera and Ballet. She played the piano her entire adult life and hosted decades of “sing –a-longs”. She married Frank Lesselyong in 1939. Both were born and raised in Ironwood. Betty and Frank had three children, Ann Warren of Bucks County, Pennsylvania and Scottsdale, Arizona, John Lesselyong and his wife, Diane of Dallas, Texas and Frank Lesselyong and his wife Jane of Phoenix, Arizona. Betty had five grandchildren, Frank, III, Julia, and David, of Phoenix, Arizona, Alan Lesselyong, and Anne Lesselyong Hewell of Dallas, Texas , plus four great grandchildren, Jack, Cooper, Dylan and Jordyn. Betty has been a widow since 1989 and throughout her life has lived life to the fullest. For the past six years she has loved living at The Manors in Scottsdale, Arizona. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Barnabas on the Desert, 6715 N. Mockingbird Ln., Scottsdale on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00am. Betty will be interned next to her husband, Frank in the Garden at St. Barnabas on the Desert. In lieu of flowers the family requests a small donation be made to Vista del Camino in Scottsdale, Arizona.
