Doris was my mother; I called her “Only Mom” as in, my one and only Mother. When I was growing up she was the heart of our home and she made it possible for our family to thrive. Her life-force was so strong that it is impossible to believe she’s not here on this earth. But I know she was unafraid to die, she loved God and knew she would be lifted up into the love that created her. And she was always happy to contemplate being reunited with my father, her life partner and the only man she loved in her 81 years of life. I want to offer my condolences to those she loved and who loved her, especially the many friends she so greatly enjoyed and who were so kind and supportive. I know her light will stay with us.
