Arturo Eduardo Lopez

Arturo Eduardo Lopez, 96, of Phoenix, went home to be with Jesus on January 11, 2021.

Art loved his family and friends and was a man of much faith. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sharon, with whom he shared a beautiful life and an inspirational love. From Ensenada to San Diego to the Inland Empire and then to Phoenix – wherever he was home he had a garden and projects that kept him busy. Through his many careers and jobs he made numerous friends and was a shining light for many.

Art was a loving father to his 5 daughters, and an adoring Papa to his 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Louise (Manuel). Native Arizonan. Proud UA Alumni. US Navy WWII Veteran. He will be forever remembered as a gentleman, as a friend, and as a man who loved and gave of himself freely. His faith in Jesus was his rock.

When I met Art for the first time, it was a moment that I would not forget. His manners and his demeanor made me feel very welcome and comfortable like I was visiting with a family member.

Condolence from RICHARD and ANN ENSMINGER on January 20th, 2021 11:53 am

Much love to you, Sharon, Lisa, and all of the other family members. We have such fond memories of Art especially his insatiable yearning to know Jesus and His grace and all that Jesus died to provide for us as believers. His 96 years were well-lived and we are grateful to have been a small part. We will continue to pray as you journey through the grief of losing him and yet rejoicing in the reunion to come one day!

We have been trying and trying to get on zoom to be part of the service to no avail. Another friend told me she was having trouble too. If the service was archived and you could send us a way to view it, that would be awesome.
