LOPEZ-SANCHEZ, EVA L.

July 25, 2017 Leave A Condolence

Eva Sanchez 400

86, of Phoenix, passed away July 23rd, 2017. She was born November 9, 1930 to José and Maria Garcia in El Paso Texas. Eva was raised with 11 siblings!
Eva married Jose Lopez May 1, 1948, in El Paso, and devoted her life raising five children. Irma, George, Benjamin, Robert, and Christine. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Eva and Joe came to Arizona from El Paso in the early 60s, after having the opportunity to live in Hawaii for several years. Even though she disliked the summer heat she kept an immaculate home in central Phoenix. Cooking for her familia was the love of her life. After Joe passed away in 1998, Eva found her new life partner and married her second husband Amador Sanchez in 2003. They enjoyed trips to Sedona and Mexico and watching novelas. Mom is preceded in death by her first husband, Jose, her daughter, Irma, her second husband, Amador and all but three siblings. Her three surviving siblings are Rosa Mata, Emilio Garcia and Annie Richards. Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th Street, Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix. Reception to be determined. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.

    Hello Lopez Family in Phoenix,

I am trying to build the Lopez family through Ancestry.com.

I was trying to find my Tio’s Obituary and instead I am just discovering my Tia’s, which I still remember her the few times you would visit our grandparents in EL Paso, Texas. I lost contact with Tia, ofelia in El Paso.

At any rate, I am so sad and letting you know your Mom and dad were most gracious with me and will always be remembered.
