Died November 2, 2010. Helen passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Born on January 15, 1924, in her native Phoenix. Helen attended Phoenix Union High School where she met the love of her life of 66 years, Lou, who preceded her in death. During WWII Helen worked at Airesearch. After the war Helen settled in to raise her five children, Lou Jr., Stephen, Mary, Beth and Linn. In 1973, Helen’s entrepreneurial spirit opened her business Mirror Mirror Beauty Salon which is still in operation. After retirement, Helen and Lou enjoyed many years of world travel. Helen was a devoted grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild. We will always cherish our beloved Mother, Grandmother and friend. Visitation will be at 10:00am with a Funeral Service at 10:30am, Monday, November 8 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Interment will follow at 1:00pm, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.
