Virginia L Lucy

84, passed away on December 8, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Virginia Laura Machnicki on March 7, 1926 in Chicago, IL. She was the second oldest of four daughters. Virginia (GG) married Doyle Lucy on June 8, 1945 while he was stationed in Florida in the U.S. Navy. In 1951 they moved to Phoenix and raised two children; Doyle Jr. (Buddy) and Jennifer.

Virginia worked for Lou Regester Furniture with her sister Evelyn. She also worked at the Health Maintenance Organization (then called the Health Maintenance Association) until her retirement.

Her joys in life were being with family, traveling to Las Vegas, playing bingo and crocheting. Her home was the hub for every holiday and family celebration, and she was always the life of the party.

A cherished mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, Virginia will be dearly missed by her loved ones, including her sister Adeline Romo (husband Ray) daughter Jennifer Paysnoe (husband Forrest) and son Doyle Jr. (wife Regina). Her love will continue to shine through her devoted grandchildren (five) and great-grandchildren (five); and many nieces and nephews.
