MAGDALENO, DOLORES EVANS
Dolores Evans Magdaleno beloved mother, sister, grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 27th, 2021, at the age of 87. Dolores was born in Nogales, Arizona in 1933.
A devoted mother and homemaker, Dolores was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. One of her greatest qualities was always making sure visitors were welcome in her home. Whether you were staying for an hour, or the night, she made sure you didn’t leave on an empty stomach. She was known for her sense of humor, tacos, quick wit, and caring for her family. Dolores had a passion for dancing, cooking, and yard sales. She always provided support and love for her family. She aimed tirelessly to provide opportunities for her kids. She would proudly boast about all of her children and the success they had in their careers.
Dolores is survived by her sister Sally Flores; her four children Jesse Magdaleno, Lorraine Ahumada (Tim), Cynthia Serna-Gonzalez, James Magdaleno (Barbara), her 14 Grandchildren, Gina Almaraz, Thomas Serna (Josie), Brandon Serna, Gabriel Serna (Michelle), Danielle Seitters (Luke), Melissa Perez (Anna) and Ernest Perez (Julie), D’ Angelo, Katrina, Timothy Joseph “Joe”, Jennifer, Ralphie, Mallory, Audrey, (28) Great Grandchildren, and (8) Great Great Grandchildren who all love, and will undoubtedly miss her dearly.
A Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 am with a Rosary at 10:45 am and the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix. So many fond memories of of your mother, she treated both my wife and me like her.
Quick witted and always spoke her mind. She will surely be missed but will always live in our. I’m positive that on her arrival at the gates of Heaven was with received with open arms and is now looking down upon us.
