MANDERACHIA, LAURA

April 30, 2010 Leave A Condolence

MANDERACHIA,

October 2, 1923 – April 28, 2010. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and wife to Jasper was called home by our Lord. She went peacefully and without suffering. Laura is preceded in death by our father, Don Morton and our grandmother, Frances Greff Wauson. They provided all eight of us with a happy childhood and a
great foundation for life. She is survived by two sons: Donald J. Morton and spouse Jan Quinn Morton and David Morton and spouse Nancy Amerman Morton and six daughters: Jean Morton Obert and spouse Don Obert, Dorothy Morton Wolfer and spouse Joe Wolfer, Kay Morton Hughes and spouse Dave Hughes, Mary Morton Munoz and spouse H. Munoz, Susan Morton Hansen and spouse Rick Hansen, and Carol Morton Johnston and spouse Dean Johnston. She is also survived by her husband of 25 years, Jasper Manderachia and his five children: Sharon Manderachia Vick and spouse Jerry Vick, Joseph Manderachia and spouse Tan Manderachia, Mary Lou Manderachia Castelli and spouse Michael Castelli, Salvadore Manderachia and spouse Jody Kozcar Manderachia, and Michelle Manderachia Culberson and spouse Kevin Culberson. Together they had 38 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren including numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Our mother was the breath beneath our father’s wings. She cared for us all with love and devotion and was a wonderful role model. She was the rock that we depended on.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 3rd from 6:00-8:00PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home 4800 East Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 4th at 10:00 AM at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 3424 N. 18th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85015. Flowers or Mass Cards are appreciated.
