Edward Marquez was born on May 9, 1940 in Phoenix, Arizona and passed away on December 27, 2013. He is survived by his brothers, Antonio, Charles, and Samuel; his sisters, Benedicta, Rosalea, Frances and Theresa; his children, Patricia, Diane, Caroline and Edward; and his grandchildren, Sophia, Nicole, Rachael, Nickolas, Ava, Alicia, Trevor and Lauren. Edward was a lifelong resident of Phoenix. He was a good man who was loved by all who knew him. He lived a life of service to his country and all those around him. He will be missed. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 5th, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 6th, at St. Maria Goretti Church, 6261 N. Granite Reef Rd., Scottsdale. Interment will follow at 1:30 P.M. Monday, January 6th at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix.
