Marshall Taylor, 93 years, passed peacefully on February 17, 2008. Born October 27, 1914 in New York, Marshall moved his family to Phoenix in 1947. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Georgine, five children, 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Of his children, Sue Schmid Rex, Gena Bonsall Harry, Bette Taylor, Robert “Buster” Taylor Angela and Tony Taylor Leslie survive; Bobbie Taylor preceded her father in death. Taylor graduated from Pratt Institute, New York in 1935 and began his art career at Sherman Ellis Advertising, N.Y. Subsequently and for 40 years in Phoenix, Marshall served Jennings and Thompson Advertising Agency as Art Director. Throughout his working years in Arizona, Marshall was a dedicated volunteer and usher at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Marsh was seldom absent from Sunday mass at St. Thomas. He was a voracious reader and particularly enjoyed history. Marshall will be remembered by family and friends as a creative, friendly, intellectually inquisitive, always smiling and devoted family man. Private family services are scheduled for Friday, February 22, 2008. In memory of Marshall and in honor of Georgine, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1028 E.
