In Memorial

Christine Martin, 73 of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of West Harford, CT, loving wife, mother and sister, returned home to our Lord on Thursday, August 7, 2014.   She was preceded in death by her Parents Evelyn and William Doyer and husband Vernon Martin.  She is survived by her Children Evelyn, Willie, Joe, Glenn, Lynda and Jimmy; grandchildren Sean, Kyle, Joe, Jordan, Alyssa,  Garrick, Blake , Jaeden, Marie,  Amber, Stephanie,  Jennifer and Glenn Jr; her sisters Candy (Don) and Shelly (Gary), her partner Dean,  as well as many much loved great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Christine was a supervising nurse for many years at Doctors Hospital (now Phoenix Children’s Hospital). Her latest position was in the gift shop at the Camelback Inn where she worked for the last several years and had many friends and co-workers.  Christine greatly touched all who met her and will be deeply missed.  She was well known for her infectious smile and ability to make people laugh and feel special.   Visitation will be held Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix from 11am- 1pm with a graveside service to follow at East Resthaven Park Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Avenue, Phoenix.
