
48, passed away on Father’s Day, June 20, 2010. He was born on October 18, 1961 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Irene Barbara and Frank Thomas Martinez. He is survived by his brother Ronald Patrick Martinez, sons Nicholas Thomas and Cody Christopher, loving wife Cynthia Diane Martinez, best friend Craig Hollenbeck, and close cousins Jill Martinez, Jennifer Hill and Jami Busch; also, a large extended family and a great many friends. Chris was a loyal husband and loving father who enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. Chris grew up around motorcycles and held onto this passion throughout his life, going on long rides with his father and friends on his red, “Big Dog” Chopper. Chris’s biggest source of pride was his boys and he loved them more than anything in the world. We would like to thank all of the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Gardiner Home of Hospice of the Valley. Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 pm, Friday, June 25, 2010 with a Rosary at 7:00 pm, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am, Saturday, June 26, 2010 at St. Mary’s Basilica, 231 N. 3rd Street. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. A Celebration of Chris’ Life will follow the Interment at the home of his cousin Jill. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the college fund for the boys at Chase Bank (account # 2962708752)
