
Stewart, Mary Louise
82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 5, 2009. Mary was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts and moved with her family to Arizona when she was 20. Mary worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Co. for 37 years and had been active in the Telephone Pioneers and other retiree groups since her retirement. She volunteered her time with various charities. She was an active member of the Devonshire Senior Center and enjoyed volunteering and making friends there. Mary was a kind, loving person and was well-liked by all who knew her. She is survived by her brother, Peter Cummings and his wife, Karen, daughter, Elaine Stewart, son, David Stewart and his wife, Joan and granddaughter, Sarah and several nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, June 18, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, June 19, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Ave. Interment at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
